How to Reach Enir-Ilim
Enir-Ilim is the sacred tower above Belurat, Tower Settlement and final dungeon in the Shadow of the Erdtree expansion. It is the Hornsent’s attempt at climbing to the heavens and home to the Gate of Divinity.
When you reach its main elevator in Belurat after defeating the Divine Beast Dancing Lion, you’ll learn that it’s sealed by shadow. You must use Messmer’s Flame to burn down the Sealing Tree.
You receive Messmer’s Kindling after defeating Messmer the Impaler in his Dark Chamber atop the Shadow Keep.
Then, trek through Rauh Ruins, and defeat the revolting abomination and black mark on Malenia’s legacy, Romina, Saint of the Bud, who guards the Sealing Tree.
NPC Quest Gear
You will receive a truly excessive amount of gear from the NPCs, as in as a lot of their quests wrap up here, specifically in the Cleansing Chamber or in front of the Gate of Divinity, either before or after defeating the final boss.
Your decisions will determine the specific rewards you get, and there’s so much that it deserves its own guide, which is why I wrote one:
All Unique Quest Rewards in Shadow of the Erdtree
Weapons
There are 2 weapons from Enir-Ilim, a Twinblade and a Curved Greatsword.
Euporia
Euporia is a Legendary Twinblade that temporarily becomes more powerful after damaging living beings. You can unleash the power with its Unique Skill: Euporia Vortex, which spins the Twinblade like a baton and launches a beam if it’s powered up.
Euporia is actually in a temple in Belurat, but it’s only accessible via a secret route from Enir-Ilim.
You’ll collect a couple other rewards along the way, and there’s a dedicated section to this route at the end of the guide.
Horned Warrior’s Greatsword
The Horned Warrior’s Greatsword is a Curved Greatsword with a Unique Skill that benefits from the Enraged Divine Beast Talisman.
The Divine Beast Warrior guarding the entrance to the Cleansing Chamber Anteroom that you fight out on the picturesque walkway drops the Horned Warrior’s Greatsword.
Check our guide to the full Horned Warrior set to learn how to get all items, what stats and perks they offer and where/when you might want to use them.
Spirit Ashes
There are Spirit Ashes for 2 enemies at Enir-Ilim.
Inquisitor Ashes
The Inquisitors are Hornsent who excruciated Midra in the Abyssal Woods to protect the rest of their people from the Flame of Frenzy.
You can loot the Inquisitor Ashes from a chamber directly below what seems to be a Hornsent Empyrean guarding the Spiral Rise.
Horned Warrior Ashes
The Horned Warrior Ashes let you summon a tanky spirit wielding its Curved Greatsword.
You can loot the Horned Warrior Ashes from a storeroom alongside some miscellaneous Bolluses near the Divine Beast Warrior on the roof past the Spiral Rise Site of Grace.
Armor
There is only a single piece of armor you can find, though the Divine Beast Warriors can only be found here, and they can drop their partial armor set.
Gravebird Helm
The Gravebird Helm is the final piece of the Gravebird set. It boosts the damage dealt by the Sorcery: Rings of Spectral Light and Unique Skill: Spearcall Ritual (Death Ritual Spear) by 15% to compensate for being unaffected by the Prince of Death’s Staff.
You can loot the Gravebird Helm from atop an altar at the elevator in the upper part of the Spiral Rise that exits out to the picturesque walkway leading to the Cleansing Chamber.
You’ll need to jump to the top of the altar from the elevator while it’s in motion to reach it.
Divine Beast Warrior Helm and Armor
The Divine Beast Warriors seem to be extra special Horned Warriors who can only be found at Enir-Ilim. They have unique helmets and chestpieces that they can drop. The best one to farm is the first one you encounter at Enir-Ilim guarding the entrance to Spiral Rise.
Divine Beast Helm
The Divine Beast Helm is an appropriately-sized, lighter version of the Divine Beast Head. It grants +3 Strength and Dexterity, but offers +0 Focus Resistance.
Divine Beast Warrior Armor (chestpiece)
The Divine Beast Warrior Armor is a chestpiece that replaces the yellow fabric worn by regular Horned Warriors with a lion pelt.
Read our full guide to the Divine Beast Warrior Set to learn where and how to pick up the entire set in the Shadow Realm.
Spira Incantation
There is a single spell you can find in Enir-Ilim, an Incantation called Spira. It is a spammable that summons repeated columns of light beneath your current target’s feet. The Spiraltree Seal boosts the damage dealt by Spira by 20%.
You can loot Spira from an altar outside of the First Rise that an Inquisitor is praying to. You need to hop across the tree branches to get there.
You receive the Spiraltree Seal for finding the location depicted in “The Sacred Tower” painting after burning the Sealing Tree. Check out our Shadow of the Erdtree Paintings Locations and Rewards Guide for more details.
Ancient Dragon’s Somber Smithing Stone
You can find an Ancient Dragon’s Somber Smithing Stone (+10) at the top of the broken staircase that would connect down to the one you find near the First Rise.
It’s at the lower level of the Spiral Rise elevator where you get the Gravebird Helm. Be prepared to take on a Curseblade Aceitic.
Scadutree Fragments
There are 4 Scadutree Fragments scattered throughout Enir-Ilim.
On the Secret Route from Enir-Ilim to Belurat
The first Scadutree Fragment is located on an altar guarded by adeliberately concealedgiant Spider-Scorpion (hiding spot exposed below) partway through a platforming extravaganza that ends at an otherwise inaccessible region of Belurat.
Spiral Rise Cross
There’s one final cross where Miquella abandoned all of his fears at the Spiral Rise Site of Grace.
Since Miquella ripped open the gate to reach the Land of Shadow, I think this would be the first piece of himself that he left behind.
Gravebird Rooftop Altar
Eventually, you’ll end up out on the rooftops near the tower that would connect Belurat to Enir-Ilim, if not for the broken stairs that cut you off near the Dancing Lion. In the
Cleansing Chamber Anteroom
The final Scadutree Fragment you’ll find in Enir-Ilum is on an altar right next to the Cleansing Chamber Anteroom Site of Grace.
To find all others, consult with the dedicated guide to all Scadutree Fragment Locations and
Scadutree Fragment and Miquella’s Cross Locations
Revered Spirit Ashes
There are 4 Revered Spirit Ashes at 3 locations within Enir-Ilim.
Fatty Inquisitor
The morbidly obese Inquisitor wearing the Mickey Mouse ears (likely representing the deadly Basilisk eyes) drops a Revered Spirit Ash.
Revered Hornsent Altar Occupied by Man-Flies (x2)
There is a Revered Hornsent Altar on the first floor of the room with the with 3 Man-Flies worshiping it (and another on the ceiling) that holds 2 Revered Spirit Ashes.
The room above it has a pair of Inquisitors inside that you’ll likely enter first. There are 4 other Man-Flies outside.
Post-Cross Rooftop Altar
Just past the roof with the flock of Gravebirds outside of the Spiral Rise, there’s an altar holding a Revered Spirit Ash.
How to reach the Belurat Secret Area and get Euporia
You may have noticed a seemingly accessible temple connected by a bridge in the poison area beneath the well at Belurat, Tower Settlement.
You can only reach this secret area by doing a bit of platforming down from Enir-Ilim. Along the way, you’ll get Inquisitor Spirit Ashes, a Legendary Twinblade called Euporia, a Scadutree Fragment, and a heart attack.
The path from Enir-Ilim to Belurat starts near the Hornsent Empyrean and first Divine Beast Warrior you encounter in front of the Spiral Rise. Activate the Spiral Rise Site of Grace and grab the Scadutree Fragment before going on this little excursion.
Then, head back down the steps to the Divine Beast Warrior. There’s a destroyed set of stairs to your right and a functional set to your left. Inside, you’ll find the Inquisitor Ashes.
Now, you’ll need to jump down from the precipice to a lower also-broken staircase. Grab the litter if you want.
Then, head to the crumbling parts of the railing and drop down.
Your goal is to head towards the two pieces of litter on the other wall.
You’ll end up near another tower. You must leap onto the spiral decorative structure that surrounds it.
Once you leap, if you go to the right, you’ll find even more litter and have an opportunity to drop down to the lowest part of the spiral decorative structure.
Drop down again and be prepared to confont a stranded denizen of the Shadow Realm who will attempt to destroy you.
It’s not time to go all out. Show him just a fraction of your power. You’ll need it after completing your next objective, which is to jump to a window that’s officially part of Belurat.
HEART ATTACK WARNING: Do not go outside of the room yet! Hidetaka Miyazaki’s final act of terror lies in wait to ambush you outside. There’s an XL Spider-Scorpion hanging directly above the doorway that will land on you the moment you step outside.
Lob the most devastating explosive you have at the wall above the doorway to thwart the sinister game director’s villainous machinations. Unless you’re using a caster build, you probably won’t defeat it with a single hit. You’ll need to use more.
Once you’ve dealt with the abomination, go outside to collect your Scadutree Fragment and head down the stairs to the larger elevator. The side one leads back up to Enir-Ilim, but it’s inaccessible from the other side and seemingly pointless.
There’s a few Inquisitors and another lion furry that stand in your way, but the platforming is over, so make your way onward and claim the secret treasure of the tower.
Shadow of the Erdtree Final Boss Loot
The final boss of Shadow of the Erdtree is Radahn and Miquella. You receive the Remembrance of a God and a Lord, Circlet of Light (helm), get to watch a pointless flashback, and unlock the ability to purchase the Young Lion armor set from Finger Reader Enia at the Roundtable Hold.
Check out our Old vs New Radahn Armor Set Comparison for all the details on the Young Lion armor set:
Old Radahn vs Young Lion: fULL gEAR sET COmparison
Light of Miquella
Light of Miquella is an Incantation that lets you do Radahn and Miquella’s phase 2 impression of Jesus on Easter.
Unlike all other spells, most notably the Carian Royal Families’ Full Moon Sorceries, once your feet leave the ground, the beam goes off, even if you get knocked out of the cast.
Greatswords of Radahn (Light)
The Greatswords of Radahn (Light) gives you a pair of Colossal Swords that take up a single equipment slot. It is identical the (Lord) version except for the Unique Skill: Lightspeed Slash.
Lightspeed Slash is a neutered version of Consort Radahn’s sub-25% HP Firework Spectacular.
Greatswords of Radahn (Lord)
The Greatswords of Radahn (Lord) gives you a pair of Colossal Swords that take up a single equipment slot. It is identical the (Light) version except for the Unique Skill: Promised Consort.
Promised Consort lets you do the long combo in Phase 2 that ends with a spin and colums of light. It’s very cool.
Circlet of Light
The Circlet of Light grants +1 Intelligence, Faith, and Arcane and boosts the damage dealt by the Rings of Light Incantations by 10%. I suggest visiting St. Trina again as well.
