Collaborate on CapCut: Edit, Share and store content with your team (2024)

With CapCut, you can create a space and invite members to join. Once created, members can access the space from any device and share drafts for collaborative editing. You can also share your finished videos in various formats for review and feedback or for playback in different scenarios.

Create a space and invite members

Create a space

Go to CapCut Workspace and click on the "Create new space" button at the bottom left corner to start creating.



On the space creation page, fill in the space name and member email addresses, then click on the "Create space" button to finish.



Note:

• Each user can create up to 3 spaces (including the Default space).
• Each space can invite up to 4 members.
• Each space has an initial capacity of 1 GB. By successfully inviting 1 member, the space will be upgraded to 2 GB for free. By successfully inviting 2 members, the space will be upgraded to 5 GB for free (free expansion is valid for 45 days only).





Invite new members

After creating the space, if you need to invite new members, click on the "Invite members" button at the top right corner.



On the member invitation page, you can invite new members in two ways:

• Invite by link: Click on the "Copy" button to copy the invitation link and share it with new members.
• Invite by email: Fill in the email address of the new member, click on the "Send" button, and the member will receive an invitation email.



Assign permissions to members

After members successfully join the space, you can assign permissions to them:

• Admin: Can edit and manage all video files in the space.
• Collaborator: Can only edit and manage video files that they post on their own in the space.



Collaborative editing with members

Find the video in "Drafts", and click on it to enter the video editing page.



During video editing, if you need to transfer the editing permission to other members, click the "... > Transfer editing permission" button at the top right corner of the video editor.



Select the member to whom you want to transfer the editing permission, click on the "Confirm" button and that member can start editing.



If you need to edit again, you can transfer the permission back to yourself.

Note: Capcut allows only one person to edit a video at the same time. When one person is editing, others can only view it.

Sharing videos in different scenarios

Share for review

Click on the"Export > Share for review" button to directly share the video with team members or share it with external members via link or email to invite them for comments, facilitating quick integration of modification suggestions. When sharing, you can choose the visibility scope of the video link:

• Everyone: Anyone can open the link
• Space: Only team members can open the link



If you want to view the sharing history, you can check the content of "Shared with you" and "Shared by you" in the "Share history".



Share as a presentation

Click on the "Export > Share as presentation" button to share the video with others in various forms such as link, embed, or email. When sharing, you can set whether to allow others to download the video.



Note: The video must be set as visible to everyone. If it is set as a private video, it can not be shared externally.



Sharing on platforms

You can also directly share the video on platforms such as TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, and more.
