Select topic recap and key.Select recap handouts are styled just like our regular free recap handouts, but they tend to cover more detailed/less standard topics. For example, water properties, the endosymbiotic theory, and non-Mendelian inheritance are topics that have select handouts (with accompanying keys). This supports our work!
This video was recently updated! Still prefer the old (original) video? It's here. Standards this can support? Visit here. Texas teachers, we list TEKS that can besupported here.
Check out our many plant comics! Don't forget to hit "previous" under the last displayed comic to see more.

Amoeba Sisters from left to right: Sarina Peterson ("Petunia") and Brianna Rapini ("Pinky"). How come only one of you talks in the Amoeba Sisters videos? We both focus on our interests so much that Petunia prefers to practice her love of drawing and Pinky prefers to practice her love of teaching.
Brianna Rapini graduated from the University of Texas-Austin with a bachelor of science in biology. She received a master's degree in educational administration from Sam Houston State University and a master's degree in biological sciences from Clemson University.
Secondary life science, specifically, is Pinky's passion. Her Texas teacher certification includes grades 8-12 composite science (encompassing biology, chemistry, and physics). You can learn more general information about our work here.
Brianna serves as the channel's voice and writer behind "Pinky," the illustrated amoeba character on the channel, and she loves teaching biology to their global audience.
We are two sisters on a mission to demystify science with humor and relevance by creating videos, GIFs, comics, and resources such as our handouts and Unlectured Series.
These levels start from the smallest unit of life and work up to the largest and most broad category. Terms discussed include cells, tissues, organs, organ systems, organisms, populations, communities, ecosystem, and biosphere. Part of "The Amoeba Sisters" series.
